Types of cookies
1. Persistent Cookies: these cookies remain saved, until their expiration, into the user/visitor device . They are used to facilitate web navigation. Persistent cookies last longer than other types of cookies, notwithstanding the closing the browser session, but always for a specific time period.
2. Session cookies: last for the duration of  navigation session only.
3. First part cookies: can be both “persistent” and “session”; they are managed directly by the owner and/or Manager of a  website, and they are used, for example, to ensure the technical functioning (the so-called "technical cookie") or to track preferences expressed on the use of the website.
4. Third party cookies: they can be both “persistent” and “session”; they are created and managed by managers who are unrelated to the website that is visited by the user. Main purposes of cookies
1. Technical Cookies: are needed for the navigation through a website and for the use of certain products and services. Technical cookies are used, for example, to recognize the authenticated user to its Inbox and to keep open the session even when the user visits other pages of the website, or to provide some security measures site and monitor the correct operation.
2. Statistical Cookie or "analytics": these cookies are used to monitor website’s performance, for example in order to know the number of pages visited or the number of users viewing a particular section. What type of cookies does Ginsana use?
First part cookie 
Ginsana uses temporary session cookies for the purpose of "Preferences".
First part cookies are left temporarily on your computer. They automatically expire at the end of the session (when you close your browser). In other words,they remain active only while surfing the Internet. Usually they are used to identify you and as a consequence to avoid the login to each web site page to be visited.

Cookie : Balancer
Name : BALANCER
Purpose: The cookie is set by the balancer to route the client always on the same server
 for the duration of the session
Treatment: The first visit of the balancer server web page generates a unique ID and sends it as an http cookie to the client. At each subsequent request, the load balancer will receive from the client cookie with the unique ID and will then which server routing it.
Duration: The cookie is deleted when the browser is closed.

Third-party cookies
Our website may allow third-party cookies to be set in its services. 
Ginsana for monitoring purposes, web statistics and advertising activities of remarketing/retargeting, uses third-party tools that make use of cookies such as Google Analytics.
